| Quality with care Kaj Ellegaard works with quality materials throughout the manufacturing process of hammocks. The largest part of the fabric hammocks are made in 100% NEW cotton, where dyeing, strength and control are paramount elements in hammock production. The PRO outdoor hammocks are made of weather-resistant material. The Mexican hammocks in coated cotton net have extra strength and weather resistance. Through control and development, qualities have been obtained in addition to the usual production of hammocks. Ethical Trade Today, over 200 Mexican families work in different teams. In Nicaragua, the work is concentrated with hammock production for 4 months a year. In Brazil, work is done at factories and private homes. Common to all countries is a long-term partnership where awareness of social responsibility, mutual understanding, the work for fair pay, organized working conditions and environmentally sound production. |
